Timothy Snyder, Professor of History, Yale University; Award-winning author, and 2021 Phil Lind Initiative speaker for the series The Anti-Democratic Turn was featured on NPR’s podcast Throughline, where he talks about the recent Capitol insurrection. Snyder also emphasizes how the Covid-19 pandemic can affect the way Americans perceive information, particularly on social media, which can often lead to echo chambers and a switch from a ‘trust’ society to a ‘belief’ society.
